I have received numerous inquiries about what law deans do after they end their deanship. A number move to a faculty position at the law school where they served as dean, some assume a new deanship at another law school, while others retire completely from academia. In addition, law deans might assume a position in a university and continue their leadership on a broader scale. Others might enter private practice or work for a business or non-profit organization. This section of the RDD answers the question of what law deans do after their deanship and gathers data going forward for those deans who ended their deanship in 2021.
